The distance vast and nature wild,
A hermit who has lost his way,
As pleasant breeze, smooth and mild,
Carries on the sunset pale,
Joined in bloom – the sea of life,
Lonesome, drifting astray,
I walk the ice so thin, so fragile.

On a journey I’ll embark,
The road ahead and story twines,
I’ll read the signs and leave the marks,

Feel like a caveman, everything seems so strange to me.
Well, I'm just a pilgrim - misplaced from his chronology,

An ordinary day,
The walls have ears, they’ll set you up
They came and took my dad away.
Never heard from him,

It took me so much time to realize what was going on,
I was just a child who never left his home.

It was hard for me to accept that I’ll have to deal with all the hard times on my own.

We didn't say goodbye,
But deep inside I know - she's watching over me.
And one day I realized - as I saw his portrait,
The tyrant’s will - can’t be compromized,
And even after he is gone - his system will remain,
And another tyrant - will come and take his place.
An ordinary day,
They’re on the hunt and you’re the prey
They came by surprise and took my sea away,
Instead the sea of gold,
Marked the enemy of the state
Only dunes of steaming desert sand.
No longer a child, but in the end I did comprehend,
Am I destined to spend the rest of my days in this barren land?
I’m better off than to succumb to the will of the one,
Like hermit I’ll survive, I’ll hide my face from the sun!
So I ran away from my life, running for my life,
Shared last piece of bread, tasted every fugitive’s strife,
Nothing to lose, for I have no possessions,
Left short for words and deaf for questions,
Nothing to cling to…but memory, only memory.

And behind all the hard labor – the trail of scars,
It makes you resistant to strain,
You know damn well it tranquilizes every pain.
A cogwheel keeps on whirling – feeding the alien inside

And there’s even no more point how much you’ll make,
As life goes by, no one will make it up to you,
The pressure’s on and you’re just one tiny screw.

After the full circle I'm back at the beginning,
And just before the burst, another change of grease,
To postpone my wear and tear,
And feed me with my existential needs,
As I move in circles – I won’t get very far,
Quicker I become – sooner I’m back at the start.

It came out of nowhere, completely possessing my soul,
Showing me the alternative way, making me whole,
Was it the act of despair or revelation, I’ll never know.
I found my way out – long ago, I am safe now,

The grand turmoil gave birth to an idea so brilliant,
The man with a vision is always a one in a million,
For now we know we were worthy, we – the resilient!

To carry the torch takes a different approach,

The grand turmoil reflected in our minds bringing us music,
While you kept winding between your hell and your heaven,

New paradigma, the foundations of new world based on peaceful resolution.

In the end it seems - the house always wins.
And as the crowds clap their hands to puppet rising into power,
The ideal lost, the right cause gone, the taste of victory bitter-sour.

All I ever wanted was to spend the rest of my days in peace,
Far away from the deep nested fears from the old enemies,
Fugitive from the world of disaster and a land looted and plundered,
I ran away from one hell just to end up within another.
All of a sudden inside the eye of the storm, when chances are weak,
Know you can never take control over your destiny,
And now I am forced to run for my life once more
Though I foolishly hoped this could never become my war.
Between the trenches of blood, across the barbwire,
Through the gunpowder mist and against the crossfire,
Guts spilled, torn limbs, entrails ripped, all around the stench of gore,
Carcasses painted the canvases of this ugly civil war!
And after all,
I never belonged,
To this world of yours.
All of a sudden inside the eye of the storm, when chances are weak,
Know you can never take control over your destiny,
And now I am forced to run for my life once more,
Though I foolishly hoped this could never become my…

It spreads much faster than you can run!
Warlords gather on horizon,
Leading their army of greed,
Preparing for the final battle,
Wallowing in sin and guilt,
Their wealth consumed by their own debt,
And bred with never growing seed,
They won’t pull out their absurd order,
Won’t save this fragile world they claim they built.
No, not this time…

And in peaceful water’s mirror I could see,
The familiar eyes watching over me!
